A senior Houthi commander and his escorts were killed in strikes by National Resistance forces in Yemen's Hodeidah province.

A senior commander from the Houthi militia, along with several of his escorts, was killed on Wednesday in strikes carried out by National Resistance forces targeting militia positions in Hodeidah province, northwestern Yemen.
Military sources told Erem News that the Houthi commander, Abdo Jiyash, and his armed group had launched intense attacks on civilian properties in the Al-Jarrahi district, south of Hodeidah, over the past few days. Forces stationed in the area responded with direct strikes against Jiyash and his men, resulting in his death along with some of his escorts, and also damaging and destroying military equipment and vehicles belonging to the militia.
Forces from the "Second Brigade Zaranik" confirmed they had located Jiyash and his men in the "Kayda" area, south of Al-Jarrahi district, and targeted them with precise, direct fire. The sources added that Jiyash and his armed militia face accusations of committing violations and crimes against members of the Zaranik tribes over several years.
