Iran and US Delegations Arrive in Switzerland for Talks Including Hezbollah and Israel
Delegations from Iran, the US, and participating countries have arrived in Switzerland to discuss issues including Hezbollah and Israel in urgent meetings.

Delegations from countries involved in the talks between Iran and the United States have arrived in Switzerland, where the Iranian and American delegations plan to begin discussions on the "Hezbollah" and Israel issues during an emergency meeting between the two sides.
Media outlets reported the arrival of official delegations from the countries participating in the negotiations between Iran and the United States in Switzerland to discuss the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between Washington and Tehran on June 18.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir also arrived in Switzerland, following reports of the arrival of US Vice President J.D. Vance and the head of the Iranian negotiating delegation, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
Earlier, the American network CBS reported that the first meeting between the two delegations would be entirely dedicated to addressing the Israel and "Hezbollah" issue. It noted that Washington's agreement to raise the Israeli-Lebanese conflict within the negotiations indicates a fundamental shift in the US strategy toward the region.
The source noted that Israel, Hezbollah, and the Lebanese government are not present at the current Swiss negotiations.
Before departing for Switzerland, Vance announced that his participation period would not exceed two days. He was accompanied by delegations from mediating countries including Pakistan and Qatar. Technical talks are scheduled to begin today, Sunday, in the city of Burgistein, conducted in closed sessions.
Upon his arrival in Zurich, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf expressed his awareness of the responsibility he carries during this sensitive phase. He emphasized that he carries the aspirations of the Iranian people and the memory of those who fell during recent events.
He stated, "The oppressed children of Minab and all the dear martyrs of Iran are watching every action and behavior we perform at every moment," adding that "they look to us with great expectations and hopes."
The memorandum of understanding obliges the United States to lift the naval blockade on Iran according to specific timelines, in exchange for Iran restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The agreement also includes Iran's commitment not to possess nuclear weapons, with the Iranian nuclear program file to be discussed separately within a 60-day deadline, aiming to reach an agreement on lifting sanctions imposed on Tehran.
The Iranian delegation, headed by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, hours earlier to participate in these talks.
