Iran Confirms No Current Talks with US on Final War Agreement
Iran states no ongoing negotiations with the US on a final war-ending deal while its deputy foreign minister visits Qatar to discuss implementation mechanisms.

The Iranian news agency reported on Wednesday that there are currently no ongoing negotiations with the United States regarding a final agreement to end the war that began on February 28. Meanwhile, it noted that the deputy foreign minister is visiting Qatar to discuss mechanisms for implementing a potential agreement.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the deputy foreign minister met with Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to discuss the execution of understandings related to the interim agreement with the United States.
Doha is scheduled to host indirect talks on Wednesday between American and Iranian officials through intermediaries. These discussions are part of diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions following reciprocal strikes between the two sides.
Both the United States and Iran have announced plans to send officials to Qatar to hold meetings focused on implementing the terms of a memorandum of understanding with Iran intended to permanently end the war in the Middle East.
The memorandum, signed by both parties on June 17 under Qatari and Pakistani mediation and culminating in a summit in Lucerne, Switzerland, includes several key provisions. These include a 60-day ceasefire across all fronts of the war, which started with US-Israeli strikes on Iran; reopening the Strait of Hormuz; lifting the US blockade on Iranian ports; releasing part of Tehran’s frozen assets; establishing a timeline for a final agreement to end the war; and reaching an understanding on Iran’s nuclear program.
Qatar clarified the situation regarding the transfer of $6 billion to Iran. Tehran announced the dispatch of an expert team to Qatar on Wednesday but denied US President Donald Trump's claim about direct talks taking place.
