Iranian FM Iraqji Confirms Ongoing Message Exchange with Washington

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqji stated that the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States is still ongoing, emphasizing that all current discussions are speculative.

Speaking to Iranian television, Iraqji said, "The dialogues and message exchanges are still underway, and the course cannot be evaluated or judged unless it reaches a specific and clear outcome."

He added on Sunday evening, following a government meeting, that "everything currently circulated about the details or outcomes of these talks is nothing more than media speculation and analysis."

Current Status of Iran-US Negotiations

The minister’s remarks come amid continued exchanges of messages and proposals between Tehran and Washington regarding a potential understanding, with conflicting reports about the chances of reaching a final agreement.

Iranian sources affirm that no agreement has been finalized and that negotiations remain open to various possibilities.

US Treasury Secretary Comments on Iran Deal Enforcement

US Treasury Secretary Scott Peisnt stated that President Donald Trump will ensure Iran’s adherence to any commitments made under a potential deal, warning that any agreement would be enforced through military and economic tools.

In an interview with Fox News, Peisnt said, "What I am confident of is that President Trump will keep them committed to what is agreed upon."

The US minister also noted significant internal changes in dealing with Iran, saying, "There has been no change in the regime, but we have changed the nature of the regime," referring to shifts within Iran’s leadership structure.
