Iran's FM Rejects CIA Estimate, Claims 120% Missile Readiness
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi disputed a CIA assessment, saying Iran's missile stockpile is at 120% capacity, not 75%.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has publicly disputed a U.S. intelligence assessment, asserting that his country's missile stockpile and launch systems are operating at 120% capacity, not the 75% figure cited by the CIA. The claim came as part of a broader warning against what he described as a potential new American military adventure.
In a post on his X account, Araghchi questioned whether U.S. actions represent a "blind pressure tactic" or "deception by a destructive party trying to drag the American president into a new quagmire." He stated that whenever a diplomatic solution is proposed, the United States resorts to an "uncalculated military adventure."
Diplomacy Pays the Price
The Iranian minister added that regardless of the circumstances, the outcome remains the same: "Iranians will not bow to pressure, but diplomacy always pays the price."
Araghchi's remarks follow overnight military clashes between Iranian and American forces near the Strait of Hormuz. He also confirmed that Tehran is still studying its response to American proposals.
Rejecting Intelligence Estimates
Directly addressing the CIA's assessment, Araghchi called the reported 75% figure for missile and launch system stockpiles "incorrect," countering that the "real percentage is 120%." He concluded by emphasizing that Iran maintains full readiness to defend its territory and people against any potential escalation.
