Israeli Army Announces Death of Two Hamas Leaders and Accuses Them of Breaching Truce

The Israeli army announced the death of Muhammad Jamal Ahmad Aied, a commander in the elite unit of Hamas's military wing, following an airstrike in Bureij yesterday, noting that he had infiltrated Israel during the October 7 attack.

The army added that a separate strike on Tuesday in Gaza City resulted in the killing of Salah Ziyad Ibrahim Mqaddas, who, according to the Israeli military, was a squad leader in Hamas’s naval formation within its military wing.

The army said via its account on the platform "X" that the two individuals recently carried out attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers and worked to increase Hamas fighters’ readiness and restore the group’s capabilities, calling this a systematic breach of the ceasefire, as it stated.

The army pointed out that both terrorists were conducting attacks on Israeli forces and civilians, training Hamas militants, and rebuilding the group’s capabilities, "in systematic violation of the ceasefire".

The Israeli military added: "The two terrorists have been eliminated to remove the threat they posed."
