For the first time since the Strait of Hormuz was closed in early March due to the Middle East conflict, an LNG tanker has successfully crossed the strategic waterway. According to Kpler data analyzed by AFP, the "Mubarraz," a vessel owned by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (ADNOC), departed Gulf waters in April carrying 132,890 cubic meters of LNG. The tanker had been loaded at Das Island in the UAE on March 2. This passage marks a significant development in regional maritime trade amid ongoing tensions.

An LNG tanker crossed the Strait of Hormuz, according to data from Kpler, in the first such passage since the strategic waterway was closed in early March amid the war in the Middle East.
According to Kpler data analyzed by AFP, the LNG tanker "Mubarraz" belonging to Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (ADNOC) left Gulf waters in April carrying 132,890 cubic metres of LNG, after being loaded at Das Island in the UAE on the second of March.
