Mojtaba Khamenei's Advisor Speaks About His Health Status and Role in Negotiations with America

An advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader confirmed for Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, according to Fars News Agency, that he is "in perfectly good health" and oversees "negotiations," despite not appearing publicly since his appointment on March 8.

Mohsen Qomi, a senior cleric, confirmed that Khamenei was injured in American-Israeli raids that resulted in the killing of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, at the beginning of the war, but he exited to the courtyard minutes before the bombing, which allowed him to survive the strike.

The Supreme Leader's public communications were limited to written statements only, without publishing any video clips or audio recordings. This increased speculation about the severity of his injuries, amidst continuous reports of disfigurement to his body and the possibility of his inability to perform his duties.

Qomi said: "This is a trick from the enemy. They want to say: Why doesn't he appear? Why doesn't he send audio messages or condolence messages?"

The cleric, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister for International Affairs in the Supreme Leader's office, claimed that Khamenei is "in perfectly good health and manages state affairs" and "oversees negotiations and the field situation." Qomi added that Khamenei has also issued instructions to the negotiating team regarding "how to act in various situations."

The cleric added about Khamenei, saying: "He has full knowledge and complete control over this matter."
