Likud party, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, launched an attack on "Yesh" party leader Gadi Eisenkot and his partners.

Likud stated that Eisenkot and his partners trample on Israelis' trust and violated all their pledges regarding cooperation with parties supporting terrorism, noting they are working to form a government with them.

It added in a statement: "At the height of recklessness, and after four years of relentless, unrestricted attacks on the Haredi public, they abandon the conscription of Haredim out of lust for power.

The party led by Netanyahu concluded the statement by emphasizing that "this must not be allowed to happen."

In response, former Prime Minister and head of the "Together" (BaAhad) party Naftali Bennett issued a statement announcing that his party's bloc would recommend to the President of the State that Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the "Yesh" party, be tasked with forming the government.

Former Prime Minister Bennett clarified that throughout the election campaign he affirmed he would respect the voters' choice, stressing that "this is what he is doing now."

Former Prime Minister Bennett reported in his statement that he informed "Yesh" party leader Gadi Eisenkot of his decision.
