President Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian economy remains stable despite foreign attempts to disrupt the fuel and energy sectors.

Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed on Wednesday that the nation's economy remains stable despite external efforts to destabilize the fuel and energy complex.
During a meeting at the Kremlin focused on economic matters, Putin stated, "At the start of our meeting, I want to point out that the condition of the national economy and its vital sectors is stable, despite foreign attempts to unsettle the situation in the fuel and energy sector and some other sectors."
He added, "I want to emphasize that the difficulties we face in the fuel market are naturally temporary and cannot affect the overall economic dynamics."
Putin highlighted the necessity of directing economic policy toward long-term objectives, with measures implemented accordingly at both the federal and regional levels.
He noted that the Russian budget recorded a surplus in June, saying, "In June, the federal budget achieved a surplus of 196 billion rubles (approximately 2.5 billion US dollars)," and stressed that growth in budget revenues played a significant role in this outcome.
He also identified the current priority as initiating a new investment cycle and encouraging structural changes within the national economy.
For several months, Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries have disrupted fuel supplies. However, the market has experienced relative stability in recent weeks.
