Rubio: Serious Iran Nuclear Talks to Begin After Strait of Hormuz Reopens
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that serious negotiations on Iran's nuclear program will start once the Strait of Hormuz is reopened.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States is prepared to engage in serious negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear dossier following the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with The New York Times on Sunday, Rubio said, "It is impossible to resolve the nuclear issue within 72 hours... The strait must be opened immediately, and then, according to agreed standards, we will commence very serious negotiations about enrichment, enriched uranium, and their commitment never to possess nuclear weapons."
An American official indicated that it is unlikely that an agreement with Iran will be signed today.
This statement comes amid media reports suggesting a possible interim agreement between the United States and Iran concerning the nuclear program and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump described the talks with Iran as "constructive," adding that Washington is "not in a rush" to finalize a deal.
It is noteworthy that Iran has rejected any restrictions on its nuclear program and insists on its right to develop the program for peaceful purposes.
