On Thursday, Moscow reiterated its proposal concerning Iran's enriched uranium but clarified that it is not imposing this initiative, even though Washington has not accepted it.

Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, urged both the United States and Iran on Thursday to avoid slipping back into armed conflict and to continue dialogue.

Russia expressed its readiness to assist in transferring the enriched uranium out of Iran but stressed that Moscow is not enforcing its proposal, according to Reuters.

Earlier, Russia renewed its call to adopt its plan to transfer Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium, aiming to resolve one of the most sensitive and complex issues in ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Sergey Ryabkov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, stated during a Wednesday press conference that the Russian proposal, repeatedly confirmed by President Vladimir Putin, remains valid. It involves transferring Iranian uranium to Russia under agreed steps among the parties, with the uranium later to be repurposed for producing fuel designated for Iranian nuclear reactors.

In a related development, U.S. President Donald Trump sent a draft memorandum of understanding with Iran to several regional leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeking their feedback, according to Israel Hayom.

The draft was sent during the past day and was discussed last night in a phone call between Trump and Netanyahu, alongside other issues.
