NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte revealed he advised President Donald Trump to 'keep his head up' following the Democrats' victory in the US midterm elections, citing voter dissatisfaction with the war with Iran and rising fuel prices.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte revealed the advice he gave to US President Donald Trump after the Democrats defeated the Republicans in the recent midterm elections.
Rutte stated in an interview on a Dutch talk show that he told President Donald Trump "keep your head high" following the crushing defeat suffered by the Republican Party in the US midterm elections earlier this week, according to Bloomberg.
American voters' dissatisfaction with the war with Iran—and the resulting sharp rise in fuel prices—was a key factor in the Republican Party's loss of both chambers of Congress in the midterm elections.
Rutte mentioned that he sent a brief message to Trump after the vote, telling him: "Keep your head up, and let us continue moving forward," as he put it.
Regarding the US conflict with Iran, the NATO Secretary General praised Trump for his determination to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
He emphasized the importance of removing the nuclear threat posed by Tehran—a threat that already existed—as well as its ballistic missiles capable of reaching Copenhagen or London. He noted that the problem was that Europe had not been able to achieve this alone.
