Spain Reports New Confirmed Hantavirus Case in Repatriated Passenger
Spain's Health Ministry confirms a new hantavirus infection in a repatriated cruise ship passenger now isolated in Madrid.

Spain's Ministry of Health has confirmed a new case of hantavirus infection in a Spanish citizen who was evacuated from the cruise ship "M V Hundius" and is currently under medical isolation in Madrid, according to the American network CNN.
The authorities indicated that the infected individual was among a group of Spanish passengers placed under quarantine following an outbreak of the virus aboard the vessel, marking the second confirmed hantavirus case in Spain.
The Health Ministry stated that this case was identified through the established health surveillance system and emphasized that the risk level to the general population remains low.
Health officials in several countries continue to monitor the conditions of passengers and crew members after three deaths occurred following the cruise that departed from Argentina last April.
