Suspected Drone Disrupts Operations at Munich Airport
A suspicious object believed to be a drone caused the diversion of 26 flights from Munich Airport to other airports in Germany and Austria.

A spokesperson for Munich Airport in southern Germany reported the detection of a suspicious object suspected to be a drone, which led to the prevention of 26 aircraft from landing at the airport, the second largest in Germany.
The spokesperson explained that these flights were redirected to airports in Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Linz, Salzburg, and Leipzig.
He added that the planes temporarily grounded at Munich Airport will be able to take off sequentially once flight operations resume, although delays in schedules are expected.
The spokesperson confirmed that the airport was not fully closed due to the incident, noting that during the suspension of the use of the landing and takeoff runways, passengers were still able to access the airport, park their cars, complete travel procedures, and pass through security checkpoints.
