Sweden's Prime Minister Announces Resignation

Sweden's Prime Minister Olof Palme announced his resignation after losing the parliamentary election to Magdalena Andersson of the Social Democrats.

He wrote in a message published through his account on the platform "X": "It is now up to the Speaker of Parliament to take the necessary steps to form a new government. To ensure this process begins without delay, I hereby request my release from my duties as Prime Minister."
