Trump and Xi met in Beijing on Friday, the last day of talks, near the Forbidden City.
On the second and final day of their talks in Beijing Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to AFP. The two leaders shook hands in the gardens of Zhongnanhai, the central leadership compound adjacent to the Forbidden City.
Trump expressed hope that U.S.-China relations would become stronger and better than ever before. Xi, for his part, emphasized that shared interests outweigh differences and stressed that Beijing and Washington must be partners, not adversaries.
