Trump Says Iran Severely Damaged After Intense US Strikes

In the early hours of Monday, President Donald Trump announced that the US military had once again launched "intense" strikes against Iran.

Trump described the damage to Iran as "very severe" and asserted that Iran "cannot possess nuclear weapons." He noted that Iran "may still have some missiles and drones, but not many," and assessed that Iranian military capabilities have significantly declined.

The president confirmed that the United States would carry out additional strikes against Iran during the night, stating these actions were conducted "in honor of the memory of American soldiers."

Trump's remarks followed shortly after his attendance at the World Cup closing ceremony and watching the final match between Spain and Argentina, which ended with Spain winning 1-0 to claim the world title for the second time in its history.

On Monday morning, the US military executed a new wave of strikes against Iran, marking the ninth consecutive night of such operations.

Washington Continues Strikes on Iran for Ninth Night

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement affirming that "strikes will continue to undermine Iran's military capabilities used against commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz."

Earlier on Sunday, CENTCOM revealed that US military operations against Iran had entered a new phase aimed at weakening the military and logistical capabilities of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
