President Donald Trump conveyed optimism on Tuesday regarding the potential to finalize a settlement with Tehran that would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He described the current atmosphere surrounding the negotiations as notably positive.

Trump stated that the United States would be fully satisfied if an agreement effectively halts Iran’s nuclear ambitions once and for all. He revealed that he postponed a planned military strike at the request of regional and international parties sensing an imminent political breakthrough, emphasizing that this situation differs from previous attempts.

Expressing hope that the military option delay would be permanent rather than temporary, Trump also warned that the U.S. remains prepared to resume military action should negotiations fail. In a social media post, he affirmed instructing the military to be ready for a comprehensive and large-scale attack on Iran at any moment if an acceptable deal is not reached.

Earlier on Monday, Trump declared he was "not open" to concessions toward Tehran following Iran’s latest response, asserting that Iran is aware of "what will happen soon." He told the New York Post, "I can tell you they want a deal more than ever because they know what’s coming."

Reports indicate that after returning from a brief trip to China, Trump spent the weekend at his Virginia golf club meeting with his national security team to strategize the next steps regarding Iran.
