Trump Stopped Netanyahu's Planned Major Strikes on Iran at Last Moment
US sources reveal President Trump prevented Israeli PM Netanyahu from launching extensive attacks on Iran to preserve negotiation chances.

American sources informed Axios on Saturday that US President Donald Trump intervened to stop Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from carrying out "major strikes" against Iran just days ago.
A senior US official told the outlet that "Trump stepped in at the last moment to prevent Netanyahu from launching wide-ranging attacks on Iran's infrastructure and energy facilities."
The official added that Netanyahu had planned to execute these strikes earlier this week amid rising tensions with Iran, but Trump blocked the action in an effort to maintain the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran.
According to the US official, this development occurred after Netanyahu found himself excluded from the behind-the-scenes negotiations with Iran, forcing him to rely on his allies in Washington to gather information about the talks between Trump and Iran.
Netanyahu reportedly experienced significant shock upon learning that Trump announced a deal with Iran via his platform, Truth Social, without prior consultation with his Israeli ally, the official said.
Why does Trump's anticipated agreement with Iran represent a "hard blow" to Netanyahu?
