Two Chinese Tankers Carrying Saudi Oil Head Toward Bab al-Mandab Strait

Shipping data revealed that two massive Chinese tankers transporting 4 million barrels of Saudi oil are currently heading toward the Bab al-Mandab Strait to leave the Red Sea on Thursday.

According to data from the London Exchanges Group, the tanker "Shin Long Yang," registered under the Singapore flag, resumed its southbound journey late Wednesday after previously turning back and pausing in the Red Sea on Tuesday.

The information further indicated that the vessel is sailing off the coast of Yemen, with the Chinese-flagged tanker "Cosnio Lake" following behind, as reported by Reuters.

Both tankers reported having Chinese crew members onboard. The crude oil was loaded onto the vessels earlier this week at the Saudi port of Yanbu.

In a related development, the Revolutionary Guard confirmed a fire broke out on a tanker following an explosion near the Strait of Hormuz.
