US Intel Report Links Iran War to Trump Assassination Plot
A US intelligence report identifies the American-Israeli war with Iran as a potential motive for a man accused of plotting to assassinate Donald Trump.

The American-Israeli conflict with Iran has been flagged as a possible driving factor behind a man charged with attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump and senior members of his administration, according to an intelligence report from the Department of Homeland Security. The alleged plot targeted a White House press event last month.
The assessment, an initial evaluation dated April 27, was distributed to state and local law enforcement agencies across the country as well as other federal bodies. It was produced by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis within the Department of Homeland Security.
The report concluded that the suspect, Cole Allen, harbored “multiple social and political grievances.” It further stated that the Iran conflict “may have contributed to his decision to carry out the attack,” citing Allen’s social media posts where he criticized U.S. actions in the war.
