US Military Ends Intense Wave of Strikes on Iran
The US military announced the conclusion of a concentrated series of strikes on Iran in response to attempted missile attacks on US forces.

The US military declared on Thursday the completion of what it described as an "intense wave" of strikes against Iran, following several hours of attacks on multiple locations.
According to a statement from the US Central Command, at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, US forces successfully carried out a concentrated wave of strikes targeting Iran in response to attempted missile attacks aimed at US troops.
The statement detailed that US Central Command assets targeted dozens of sites linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard inside Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal defense and surveillance sites, as well as naval capabilities.
US Central Command explained that these strikes aimed to further reduce threats posed by Iran and its proxies to US forces, commercial navigation, and neighboring Gulf countries.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard launched several ballistic missiles from within Iran in an attempt to carry out a surprise attack on US forces stationed in the Middle East; all Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.
Currently, over 50,000 US military personnel are deployed in the Middle East, maintaining full readiness, vigilance, and lethal combat capabilities.
