Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced he approved new long-range operations in response to Russian attacks, stating his country is preparing to expand its capabilities in this area.

In a post on his account on the "X" platform, Zelensky noted that the top priority is expanding the scope of successful practices already used in combat units and effective support services—on as wide a scale as possible.

He added that he discussed with military leaders reviewing the regulatory framework and mechanisms for recruiting foreign volunteers to serve in Ukraine’s defense forces, expressing gratitude to "all foreign volunteers who have already made significant contributions to defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and the right of its people to live as humans should in a sovereign state."

Zelensky said: "We already have several solutions that have proven effective in field operations by successfully intercepting 'Shahed' drones. We are working to ensure their systematic deployment, sustained effectiveness in intercepting these targets, and large-scale production as needed."
