Hikkel : Les tentatives de déstabiliser l'armée échouent... Nous ne plierons pas !

Le commandant de l'armée, le général Rodolfo Hikkel, a inspecté le régiment des commandos à la caserne Ghassan Raman à Zahlé, prenant connaissance de sa préparation.

During the meeting with officers and soldiers, Hikkel emphasized "continuing specialized training in special units and their essential role through precise and exceptional missions," stressing that "the main reasons for the army's strength in facing major challenges, including ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation, are the cohesion of its personnel, their resilience, the strength of their commitment to the institution, and their loyalty to it."

He addressed the soldiers saying: "The attachment to the army is a shared trait among all Lebanese, regardless of their affiliations. They see the army as their salvation, due to their trust in you and appreciation for your sacrifices across Lebanon. The army will remain the solution, no matter the differences among factions."

He noted that "attempts to undermine the army's morale through rumors and false accusations are doomed to fail and will not affect the determination of its soldiers." He added: "Our country is our extended family, and we will bring it to safety because it deserves every effort and sacrifice from us. Our steadfastness in the face of all storms, without compromise, is our greatest challenge. We will not break, nor deviate from our principles. Our duty is to protect all Lebanese and ensure stability, no matter how intense the criticism linked to narrow interests."

He stated that "thanks to the sacrifices of its martyrs, wounded, and the resolve of its soldiers, the army has embodied a model of resilience and endurance, proving its ability to confront the most difficult conditions and continue fulfilling its national duties despite escalating challenges—conditions that could overwhelm even the strongest armies."

He called on soldiers to "continue their path of service and sacrifice, remain committed to their creed and faith in their mission, so that the army remains worthy of its national responsibilities."
