Maxim Sotormin, a neurology specialist, alerts the public that cerebral infarction is not limited to adults. Cases have been recorded among children between six and nine years old, challenging the common perception of stroke as an elderly condition.

The expert notes that individuals under twenty or twenty-five may suffer from this complication due to endocrine system diseases, genetic disorders, or specific medication usage. To mitigate these risks, he recommends adopting Mediterranean diet principles, limiting fried and spicy foods, avoiding alcohol, and preventing overeating by favoring small portions.

Cognitive health maintenance is also crucial. Sotormin suggests training memory, learning foreign languages, solving crosswords, reading simplified science books, and participating in competitions. He emphasizes the importance of regular medical check-ups to identify risk factors early, including blood tests, hemoglobin level measurements, lipid profile analysis, electrocardiograms, and ultrasound imaging of neck vessels.

Sergey Boitsov, an academician and cardiologist, identifies speech disorders, weakness or loss of mobility in arms and legs, and facial distortion as primary indicators of a stroke. He advises consulting a cardiologist if shortness of breath occurs during routine physical activity, if leg swelling appears, or if high blood pressure is detected.
