Global orders are now open for DEEP Robotics’ Lynx S10, a wheeled-legged hybrid robot launched on May 22 for inspection, patrol and search-and-rescue work. The machine weighs under 20 kg, reaches 8 m/s on flat ground, and can clear obstacles up to 50 cm high.

Hangzhou-based DEEP Robotics said the S10’s four limbs each end in a wheel, allowing it to move quickly on smooth ground and step over debris or stairs when required. Sixteen high-precision joints let it stand upright on two legs in tighter spaces, according to the company.

The robot carries IP66 protection, which DEEP Robotics says means rain and dust are not a problem, and it operates between -20°C and 55°C, from frozen warehouses to industrial furnace rooms. Battery life is listed at three-plus hours, and the S10 can navigate to a charging station on its own when power runs low.

Autonomy and sensing system

Navigation uses dual LiDAR sensors and a four-camera 360-degree perception system. DEEP Robotics says the S10 builds its own map of the environment and avoids obstacles without operator input, which it presents as the main pitch for autonomous perimeter patrol or disaster-zone reconnaissance.

The company also says the system uses next-generation AI motion algorithms, although independent benchmarks are not yet available. An illustration of the robot in motion was provided by DEEP Robotics.

Price and market position

DEEP Robotics has not published a price, and no US or UK distributor has been announced. The company describes the cost as "tens of thousands of yuan," which would put it at roughly $1,400 to $2,800, though those figures should be treated cautiously, per Yangtzeer.

No official USD or GBP price has been confirmed, and for buyers in the US and UK there is no pre-order window and no named importer yet. Yahoo Finance / ACCESS Newswire confirmed that global orders are open as of the launch date, but "global" in practice means direct inquiry through DEEP Robotics for now.

IPO plans and wider context

The older Lynx M20 retails at $61,200 through a Silicon Valley distributor, which provides context for the S10’s positioning. DEEP Robotics is also pursuing an IPO on Shanghai’s STAR Market.

The company’s S10 fits into an "embodied AI" story that appeals to investors. Whether that will translate into a serious Western push, with local support, regulatory compliance and competitive pricing, remains to be seen, while export controls and AI governance rules add another layer of uncertainty for any US or UK enterprise buyer considering a purchase.
