Dollar Declines After US-Iran Agreement Announcement
The US dollar fell against most Group of Ten currencies following President Donald Trump's announcement of a deal with Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz without fees.

The value of the US dollar dropped against the majority of Group of Ten currencies after President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that an agreement had been reached with Iran, resulting in the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for navigation without any fees.
The British pound increased by 0.34% against the dollar, reaching $1.35 per pound, according to Bloomberg.
Reuters reported that the euro rose by 0.4% to $1.1608, while the dollar declined by 0.2% against the Japanese yen, trading at 159.93 yen.
Trump posted on the Truth Social platform: "The US naval blockade on Iran is lifted immediately following the agreement." He added, "To the ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow."
On Sunday evening, President Donald Trump announced a peace agreement with Iran, the lifting of the naval blockade on Iranian ports, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
