As the summer transfer window approaches its opening on June 15, Arsenal has begun proactive negotiations, with manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta already engaging in discussions to strengthen the squad.

Reports indicate that Arsenal may be among the most active Premier League clubs this summer, potentially matching last year's record expenditure of £250 million on new players. Arteta highlighted the need for more match-winning players following their Champions League final defeat to PSG.

Arsenal's Interest in Sandro Tonali

Recent reports confirm that Arsenal has made contact regarding Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, 26, who was first linked with a move during the January transfer window. Although no formal bid was submitted at that time, Arsenal remains interested in acquiring Tonali, as revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

If signed, Tonali would complement Arsenal’s midfield, which already features Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Christian Norgaard. Arteta reportedly views Tonali as important for squad depth. Newcastle’s lack of European competition this season may motivate Tonali to consider a transfer three years after joining the club. Manchester United is also said to be pursuing the midfielder.

Rejected Bid for Kenan Yildiz

Arsenal's plans to sign Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz have been halted after the Serie A club rejected their offer. Yildiz, valued at approximately £86 million, has been a frequent subject of transfer speculation due to his strong performances in Italy.

The Athletic reports that Arsenal submitted a bid for the Turkish international, but Juventus firmly declined, stating that Yildiz is not available for transfer this summer. As a result, Arsenal is exploring alternative options to strengthen their left wing.

Other players linked with a potential move to Arsenal include Nico Williams from Athletic Club, Rafael Leao from AC Milan, and Bradley Barcola from PSG.
