Arsenal Target £34.5m Winger Christos Tzolis to Boost Attack

Arsenal are preparing to invest approximately £34.5 million in Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis as part of their efforts to reinforce their squad following their Premier League title success. The Greek international is being considered independently from Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, with whom Arsenal also maintain interest.

The 24-year-old winger has attracted attention due to his impressive goal-scoring record, having netted 43 goals over two seasons at Brugge. Prior to his time in Belgium, Tzolis had a notable 2023-24 season with Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany’s second division, scoring 22 goals.

Despite signing a contract extension with Club Brugge in 2025 that extends through 2029, Arsenal continue to explore the possibility of securing Tzolis ahead of the upcoming season. Following their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, manager Mikel Arteta is focused on enhancing the team’s offensive options to maintain momentum after their domestic triumph.

Why Arsenal Are Interested in Tzolis

Tzolis is familiar with English football, having played for Norwich City in 2021, where he made 14 Premier League appearances but struggled to establish a regular starting position. He later revived his career through stints at FC Twente and Club Brugge.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Tzolis intensified after their inquiry about Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz did not advance, as the Italian club declared Yildiz unavailable for transfer. Tzolis has emerged as a viable alternative who can contribute both goals and assists from the left wing.

Last season, the Greek winger recorded 17 goals and 23 assists in league play and is capable of playing across the front line. His versatility, efficiency, and experience in the Champions League have made him an appealing option as Arsenal evaluate ways to refresh their attacking rotation.

Arsenal’s Broader Attacking Reinforcement Strategy

While negotiations for Tzolis continue, Arsenal are also pursuing other attacking targets, including Morgan Rogers. As the summer transfer window advances, the club aims to increase competition and productivity in the final third to prepare for defending their Premier League title.
