Erdoğan to Host Mohamed Salah at Presidential Palace in Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is preparing to host Egyptian international footballer Mohamed Salah at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, according to media reports.

The prospective meeting follows a recent encounter between Erdoğan and Trabzonspor President Artugral Dugan, along with members of the club’s management board.

During that meeting, Erdoğan inquired about Salah, reflecting his well-documented interest in football, as reported by the Turkish newspaper “61saat”.

Dugan informed the Turkish president that Salah expressed a desire to meet him, prompting Erdoğan to direct officials to arrange the meeting at the earliest possible time.

Rescheduling due to presidential calendar constraints

The meeting had been tentatively scheduled for this week, coinciding with Erdoğan’s planned visit to Rize or Samsun.

However, the president’s schedule conflicted with Trabzonspor’s match against Konyaspor, preventing the meeting from taking place on the originally proposed date.

Despite the delay, the meeting remains pending, with current planning pointing toward Salah’s reception at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, aligned with Erdoğan’s official agenda.
