Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his team Al-Nassr to win the Saudi Football League title after defeating Damak 4-1 in the 34th and final round, achieving his first title since 2019 by a two-point margin over runners-up Al-Hilal.

This title goes beyond just a new trophy for Ronaldo, who has faced constant criticism since his arrival in Saudi Arabia for failing to lead Al-Nassr to major titles, despite his trophy-laden cabinet with Real Madrid, Manchester United, and the Portuguese national team.

Pressure increased on Ronaldo and Al-Nassr just days ago, after the club received a painful blow by losing the AFC Champions League 2 final to Japan's Gamba Osaka 0-1, making the Saudi League title triumph carry special significance for the Portuguese star.

After the match, Ronaldo told the "Thamanya" app: "I have achieved everything in football from individual awards, titles with teams, and records. I have always given my best for my teammates and my team."

He added: "Every title still ahead of me to win is just a matter of time, and I will achieve it as well."

With this title, Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, adds a new league title to his exceptional record, having previously won three English Premier League titles with Manchester United, two Spanish League titles with Real Madrid, two Italian League titles with Juventus, before now adding the Saudi League title with Al-Nassr.

Likewise, the Portuguese star ended with this achievement a drought lasting since 2020 without winning a major league title.

After completing his domestic mission, Ronaldo, the holder of the highest number of international goals (143), will now be ready to lead his country's national team in the World Cup, which he will participate in for the sixth time.
