Jorge Jesus Appointed Portugal National Team Coach After Martinez's Resignation
Jorge Jesus has been officially named head coach of Portugal's national football team following Roberto Martinez's resignation after the World Cup exit.

The Portuguese Football Federation announced on Friday that Jorge Jesus has been appointed as the new head coach of the Portugal national football team, succeeding Roberto Martinez.
Martinez resigned from his position days after Portugal's elimination from the World Cup, following a 1-0 loss to Spain in the round of 16. The Spanish coach stated that his contract had ended with this defeat.
Jorge Jesus, aged 71, has spent the majority of his coaching career in Portugal, including spells with Benfica and Sporting. His most recent role was with Al Nassr, where he led the Saudi club to the Saudi Professional League title in the previous season.
