Lamín Yamal tops the list of contenders for the 2026 Golden Boy award, announced by Italy’s Tuttosport, featuring 100 players under 21. Porto leads nominations with five players, ahead of Chelsea and PSG, each with four nominees.

The Spanish young talent Lamín Yamal has emerged as the frontrunner for the 2026 Golden Boy award, presented by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport to the best footballer under 21 worldwide. The final list of 100 nominees was recently revealed.
This list highlights a strong presence of Europe’s emerging stars, with Portuguese club Porto leading the nominations by having five players shortlisted. They surpass both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, which each have four players included in the final selection.
Yamal stands out among the candidates due to his impressive performances with Barcelona during the previous season. The 2025 edition of the award was won by the French player Désiré Doué.
