The 2026/27 Premier League schedule for Leeds United has been announced, with the team opening their campaign at Nottingham Forest during the weekend of 22/23 August. Brentford will be the first opponents to visit Elland Road a week later.

Five significant dates have been identified for Leeds supporters throughout the season, according to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk.

On Saturday, 17 October, Leeds will host Manchester United at Elland Road in fixture seven. In the previous season, the two sides did not meet until 4 January, during gameweek 20, which ended in a 1-1 draw after Leeds had already played Liverpool both home and away.

Leeds will travel to Aston Villa on Boxing Day, a match that ended in a 1-1 draw in February last season. Fans recall the December 2018 fixture in the Midlands, when Marcelo Bielsa’s team overcame a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2, with Kemar Roofe scoring a late winning goal.

The team faces a quick follow-up away game on 30 December at Hull City’s MKM Stadium. This match marks their first Premier League Yorkshire derby since a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United in April 2021.

On 15 May, Leeds will visit Old Trafford. Their 45-year wait for a top-flight victory there ended in April, when Noah Okafor scored twice in a result that contributed to securing the club’s Premier League survival.

The season will conclude on 30 May with an away game at Crystal Palace. While fans hope the final match will have little at stake, the previous season demonstrated, with Sunderland’s final day, that outcomes can still influence European qualification, and there remains ambition at Elland Road to continue progressing.
