Mohamed Salah Expected to Sign Officially with Besiktas This Week

Media outlets have revealed the anticipated timing for Egyptian international Mohamed Salah to sign his contract with Turkish club Besiktas during the ongoing summer transfer period.

The Egyptian star has been linked recently with a move to Besiktas following his departure from English club Liverpool at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Salah officially left Liverpool after the conclusion of the last season, with no announcement yet regarding his next club.

According to the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, Besiktas President Serdal Adali confirmed that negotiations with Mohamed Salah are still underway to secure his signing during the summer transfer window.

Reports suggest that Besiktas officials and Salah’s agents are expected to hold a meeting within the next few days to finalize the agreement and make the transfer official.

The Turkish club plans to offer Salah a one-year contract with an option to extend for an additional season, providing an annual salary of 12 million euros.

Additionally, LÜE TV shared on its X account statements from Turkish journalist Levent Ümit Erol, who said: “Salah will sign officially on Thursday or Saturday, and Besiktas has already completed the deal.”

He added: “The deal for Dušan Vlahović is also nearly finalized, and I have another surprise: Virgil van Dijk’s agent will arrive in Istanbul to meet with Besiktas officials.”

If the deal is completed, Besiktas will become the seventh club in Mohamed Salah’s professional career, following his time with Al Mokawloon Al Arab, Swiss club Basel, English club Chelsea, Italian clubs Fiorentina and Roma, and English club Liverpool.

Salah played for Liverpool for nine years, from 2017 to 2026, during which he achieved multiple individual and team honors, including winning the English Premier League twice and the UEFA Champions League once.
