Paris Saint-Germain secured the Ligue 1 title for the fifth consecutive season after a 2-0 win over Lens, with coach Luis Enrique calling it the hardest of his tenure.

Paris Saint-Germain sealed the Ligue 1 championship for a fifth straight season on Wednesday, defeating Lens 2-0 in a match that tested their defensive resilience. Goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ibrahim Mbaye pushed the Parisian side beyond reach in the title race, with one game still to play.
Manager Luis Enrique described the victory as the most challenging of his three-year tenure. "This is the most beautiful and most difficult title. It is undoubtedly the hardest in the three years we have spent here," he said after the match.
The title was secured with a significantly slimmer points margin than last season, when PSG wrapped up the league six matches early. Enrique credited Lens's strong campaign for the increased difficulty, noting "specific moments of this season, the quality of the matches they won, and the number of consecutive matches they won. It was tough. We had to deal with that."
Enrique also highlighted his team's adaptability under pressure. "We spent more time than usual defending, but if you want to win titles, you have to be able to dominate both offensively and defensively. The team showed the mentality needed to win," he said.
PSG will conclude their league campaign against local rivals Paris FC on Sunday before shifting focus to the Champions League final against Arsenal later this month.
