Al Nassr has been contacted to arrange a friendly match with Argentina's River Plate following the 2026 World Cup.

Al Nassr, the Saudi football club, has received inquiries about playing a significant friendly match as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.
The club recently secured the Saudi league title for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.
Argentine media reports have revealed that Al Nassr has been approached to organize a friendly against River Plate, an Argentine club, following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, featuring 48 national teams. The tournament will be hosted jointly by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Al Nassr has yet to announce the identity of their new head coach after the departure of Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus, who led the team to the league championship.
There is no official confirmation regarding the next coach, but press reports suggest that Spanish coach Roberto Martínez, currently managing the Belgium national team, is being considered by Al Nassr's management to succeed Jesus after the World Cup.
The club has not disclosed any details about their preparation plans for the forthcoming season.
