Serious Refereeing Accusation Hits Al-Nassr Before Final Round
Al-Nassr faces a serious refereeing controversy hours before their decisive match against Damac in the Saudi Pro League's final round.

Al-Nassr has been hit by a significant controversy just hours ahead of their crucial match against Damac on Thursday evening, part of the 34th and final round of the Saudi Pro League, a game that could officially decide the league champion.
The timing of these allegations is highly sensitive, as the title race remains intense up to the last round, with large anticipation among fans of both Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, who trail the leaders until the season’s final moments.
Al-Nassr enters the last round leading the league standings with 83 points, holding a narrow two-point advantage over second-placed Al-Hilal. A victory against Damac would secure the title for Al-Nassr regardless of Al-Hilal’s result against Al-Fayha.
Controversy Over Decisive Penalty
According to Saudi radio station UFM, the penalty awarded to Al-Nassr against Al-Fayha in the seventh round of the competition was unjustified from the start.
The station described this penalty as the worst refereeing decision in the Saudi Pro League this season, especially since it gave Cristiano Ronaldo the chance to score the winning goal for Al-Nassr in that match.
This claim sparked widespread debate on social media, with some arguing that the refereeing decision had a direct impact on the title race this season.
UFM emphasized that if the penalty had not been awarded, Al-Nassr would have dropped two points in the league race, which would have left them level with Al-Hilal in points before the final round, significantly increasing Al-Hilal’s chances of clinching the championship.
