4.1 Magnitude Earthquake in Southern Lebanon After Tunnel Explosions at Ali al-Taher

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in southern Lebanon after the Israeli military announced it had exploded tunnels belonging to Iran-aligned militia Hezbollah in the Ali al-Taher highlands of southern Lebanon.

As reported by AFP, residents felt the shockwaves from the explosions across Lebanon, while footage released by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz showed a fireball rising into the sky.

Katz shared a video of the tunnel detonation moment, captioning it: "We promised and we delivered. Terrorists have been eliminated and the Ali al-Taher tunnels destroyed."
