A tour by the Governor of Baalbek-Hermel on the border road... and a message of support for development work in Nahla

Governor of Baalbek-Hermel Bashir Khader inspected the road in the Jroud Nahla area on the eastern mountain range, which connects Lebanese and Syrian territories, implemented by civil society, in a message carrying clear support for local and developmental work in the Nahla region and its outskirts, in the presence of a number of official, security, and social figures.

The Governor Khader was accompanied on his inspection tour of the border road, which is 8 km long, by a number of security agency officers, alongside the Head of the Agriculture Department in Baalbek, Mr. Abbas Al-Dirani, the Head of the Northern Bekaa Region in the Green Project, Engineer Bassam, in addition to mukhtars and figures from the region.

The inspection visit included a field tour to the Jroud Nahla area, where the delegation reviewed the projects and activities being implemented by civil society organizations with the aim of supporting local development and enhancing the environmental and agricultural reality in the region.

Governor Khader praised the efforts made by civil society organizations, commending the existing projects and the role they play in serving the local community and developing the region, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between official institutions and civil initiatives for the benefit of the people of Baalbek-Hermel.

The visit concluded with a working meeting held at the home of Hajj Firas Al-Yahfoufi, during which future projects were discussed in cooperation with civil society organizations.
