The media office of the Lebanese University presidency announced that "some websites reported, citing sources, that the burning of the power generator at the Lebanese University's central administration caused severe damage to the central SERVER containing student names, grades, and records."

The office clarified in a statement that "everything published is incorrect, and the registration system has not stopped since alternative power sources were secured immediately after the fire; evidence is that the administrative registration process continues in faculties and institutes following students receiving emails with attendance schedules for registration."

It also confirmed that university records and documents are safe, and that no damage was inflicted on the computer server (SERVER) due to the fire.
