The Israeli army reported detecting Lebanese soldiers in southern Lebanon's security zone and stated that Beirut had set up checkpoints without prior coordination.
The Israeli army announced that it had detected "a number of Lebanese army soldiers in the security zone in southern Lebanon," noting that "the Lebanese army established checkpoints without prior coordination."
It claimed it had informed the Lebanese army of the need to vacate the security zone, stating: "We removed their personnel after they failed to respond to our request," adding: "We expect them to refrain from entering the security zone."
