The Information Branch is expanding its investigation into the file on corruption in courthouses, following the arrest of Elie Saliba and the issuance by Public Prosecutor Sami Sader of an order for his detention.

Sources from MTV reported that the Information Branch will hear statements from a group of individuals this week regarding the Elie Saliba case. These names were identified based on preliminary investigations conducted with Saliba and the results of technical analysis of his mobile phones, which revealed his calls and electronic messages.

MTV sources also revealed that many "victims" who were misled by Saliba about his security and judicial connections and his ability to settle legal cases will give their statements before the judiciary in the coming days.

Furthermore, MTV learned that Judge Sami Sader requested an expansion of the investigation into this file to close the door on corruption in courthouses and detain all those involved in this case. He will review the preliminary investigation file after receiving it from the Information Branch to proceed with indicting Saliba and anyone else implicated by the investigation.
