The political bureau of the Amal Movement firmly rejected the so-called "Framework Agreement," describing its provisions, including the secret appendix and "experimental zones," as attempts to transform the Lebanese Army into a judicial police force serving Israeli agendas and projects.

In a statement marking the Movement's Martyr's Day, it stressed that the Lebanese Army, along with its leadership, officers, and personnel, represents the national stake and constitutes a red line that cannot be crossed under any title or circumstance. The statement reaffirmed its commitment to the Army's role as a unifying national institution.

The statement highlighted that Israeli attacks target the entire Lebanese territory, not any specific region or sect, calling for an immediate end to these attacks and demanding Israel's unconditional withdrawal from Lebanese lands. It also called for the deployment of the Lebanese Army in areas vacated by Israeli forces, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024.

The Amal Movement expressed its rejection of exploiting field realities for internal political purposes or to serve what it described as Israeli objectives, emphasizing that it will confront such attempts through all available legal and constitutional means.

Furthermore, the statement noted that the crimes committed by Israel during the war do not expire with time and cannot be erased or overlooked in any agreement, considering them war crimes that require prosecution and accountability.

The Movement urged all Lebanese citizens to reject hate speech and incitement, prioritize shared national values, and preserve Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty, describing the country as a permanent homeland for all its people.
