Lebanon's Economy Minister concludes a positive visit to Syria, emphasizing economic integration and announcing a joint business council.

Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer al-Bassat, has wrapped up an official visit to Syria as part of a Lebanese delegation. The trip, described as positive, included a meeting with Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar.
In a post on his "X" account, Bassat stated that the visit aimed to deepen economic integration between the two nations. He stressed that cooperation fields are vast and vital, and that any real economic integration yields mutual benefits, affirming that "Syria's success constitutes a success for Lebanon as well."

In this context, the formation of a Lebanese-Syrian Business Council was announced. Its first meeting is scheduled to be held in Damascus within the coming weeks.
