The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority has urged subscribers in several towns to pay outstanding water fees by December 31, 2026, with waived late penalties and installment options available.

The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority announced in a statement that all subscribers in the towns of Sihelie, Aintoura, Ain el-Rihani, Buloune, Al-Qleiat, Riffon, and Achchouk have been called upon to "pay their outstanding water fees either to the designated collectors or at the Kesrouan office." The authority reminded that it has placed the bills for the years 2024–2025 under collection "without any late penalties, provided they are paid before December 31, 2026."
It noted that "due to the current economic conditions, the authority has decided to implement the following measures:
- An 85% waiver on late penalties for subscription fees from 2023 and earlier.
- The option to split payments for the 2024–2025 fees into four installments for interested subscribers.
The authority hopes subscribers will respond promptly to this announcement and settle their dues without delay, emphasizing that "this notice constitutes personal notification to each subscriber and cuts off the statute of limitations."
