The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority announced in a statement that as part of implementing the model project to reduce water losses, essential works and maneuvers will be carried out to connect the new network to the existing one, necessitating the suspension of water supply on the main transmission line extending from the Ibrahim River to the city of Jbeil.

The authority explained that the water interruption will begin from the morning of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, and continue until the evening of Thursday, September 24, after which supply will return to normal from the morning of Friday, September 25, once the required work is completed and the line is reactivated.

The authority apologized to citizens for this temporary interruption and any inconvenience it may cause, urging them to conserve water and secure sufficient quantities during the works, which will help minimize the impact of the outage and ensure the resumption of normal supply as soon as possible.
