Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri expressed his approval of the memorandum of understanding announced between Iran and the United States. He highlighted the efforts made by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Republic of Egypt in reaching this agreement, which establishes provisions aimed at securing stability and security in the region, including Lebanon.

Berri extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United States of America, and their leaderships for their insistence and determination to include in the agreed memorandum a fundamental and binding clause to halt Israeli aggression against all of Lebanon. This clause aims to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty over its entire territory without contradicting the independence and freedom of its national and sovereign decision, and to avoid falling into the trap set by the Israeli political leadership under Netanyahu.
