The Dahr al-Ahmar municipality and its mukhtar issued a statement condemning the nighttime break-in at their building, where unknown perpetrators smashed the safe, stole funds, and scattered official documents.

The Dahr al-Ahmar municipality and the town's mukhtar condemned in a statement "the assault on the municipal building, where unknown individuals entered at night by breaking and entering, smashed its safe, stole financial amounts, and scattered its official documents, in a condemned and rejected act that contradicts the simplest moral and human values, as well as our authentic town customs and traditions."
The statement considered that "this blatant assault does not constitute an attack on the building alone, but rather an attack on a public institution owned by all the sons of the town, on their interests and rights, and on what this institution represents in terms of service to the public good."
It denounced "this vile and cowardly act in the strongest terms," affirming that "such actions will not deter us from fulfilling our duties and responsibilities towards our people and our town," noting that "there is great confidence in all security agencies working hard to uncover the circumstances of the crime, arrest the perpetrators, and impose the strictest legal penalties on anyone proven to be involved in this crime."
It also called on the townspeople to "unite, stand in solidarity, and form a single front against anyone who dares to undermine the security of the town, its institutions, its interests, and its public property, and to demonstrate a sense of responsibility."
It stressed that it "will not engage in any side disputes or discussions, particularly regarding the issue of surveillance cameras, out of concern for the integrity of the investigations and to avoid influencing their course, with a detailed explanatory statement to be issued by the municipality later on this matter, at the appropriate time."
